CHILDREN’S BOOKS - NEW AND NOTEWORTHY
Are you looking for a suggestion for a great book for your little one?   Children’s book publishing is brimming with wonderful new titles on a host of topics.  We have just prepared a booklist of new picture books which are perfect for babies, preschoolers, and early elementary grade readers. Why not stop in at the Children’s Reference Desk and pick up a copy of the newsletter?  Next month, we’ll highlight some new non-fiction titles for grade school readers.

Thank you to all the parents who completed our Children's Programming Survey.  Overall we had 88 responses and plenty of additional comments that will help us strategically plan future Children's programs here at the Library.  The results show us that the majority of you want more evening programs (especially for the older children), more Preschool-ages programs, and more weekend activities for children of all ages. The survey results also show us that you are all mostly interested in Arts & Crafts, Storytimes and Science related programs.   The good news is that we have many programs already scheduled that relate to these fields.  Our goal is to accommodate all of these requests as best we can and to encourage  families to come out and use the resources here at the North Bellmore Library.   Please note that our Community Room is very busy with programs for community members of all ages so one of our greatest obstacles is room availability.  Now that we have a better sense of your availability we can schedule more programs accordingly.   Thank you again for all of your support and please  continue to share comments and suggestions with us.
