UpNEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN LIBRARY MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM
Along with 25 other Nassau Libraries, the North Bellmore Library will be joining the New York Botanical Garden, adding another locale to our present Library Museum Pass Program. The membership is good for one year, and includes admission for a family of two adults and up to five children. The program includes admission to all seasonal exhibitions, and public education programs. For 2010 only, it will include parking. Membership should begin in March, or as soon as our membership is processed and the passes are sent to us.

As the winter chill sets in, now is a good time to curl up with a good book. The Hempstead Public Library houses a foreign language collection, that is available to all library patrons. If there is a particular foreign language you would like to request titles in, please let us know at the Reference Desk. They also have a mobile collection that the library can borrow if there is a large number of requests for books in a particular language. Many of the titles are fiction and cover a wide range of popular authors. They have just added a large collection of Russian titles to their collection, which are available to borrow.MEDIA NEWS
