SEPTEMBER IS LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH - a time to remind parents
and children once again that a library card is the most important school
supply of all! Children who sign up in September for their first card
will receive a gift, and new adult borrowers will receive a welcome packet

| WE HAD A BUSY SUMMER at the Library! Our museum passes, Internet
computers and wireless Internet service were constantly in use, programs
and movies were well attended, and thousands of items were borrowed.

THANKS ONCE AGAIN to the Friends of the Library for their
continued support of our Summer Reading Clubs. This summer, a record
number of children enrolled in our “Be Creative @ Your Library”
Club, and more teens than ever before participated in our YA Club.

A SKILLS RESOURCE CENTER has just been added to Live Homework Help,

our passes for the Nassau County Museum of Art and the Cradle of Aviation
Museum.
