WE HAD A BUSY SUMMER at the Library! Our museum passes, Internet computers and wireless Internet service were constantly in use, programs and movies were well attended, and thousands of items were borrowed. We are happy to serve you!

THANKS ONCE AGAIN to the Friends of the Library for their continued support of our Summer Reading Clubs. This summer, a record number of children enrolled in our “Be Creative @ Your Library” Club, and more teens than ever before participated in our YA Club.

A SKILLS RESOURCE CENTER has just been added to Live Homework Help, offering thousands of tutorials, study guides and worksheets for exams ranging from Elementary/Intermediate Tests to Regents tests and College and Graduate School Entrance exams, including the GMAT, GRE, LSAT, & MCAT, as well as Citizenship exams and many others. The Resource Center is available at any time of the day and night, so check it out!

THE 2010 BOOK LOVER’S CALENDARS are now on sale at the Circulation Desk for the bargain price of $5.00. Shop early, as supplies are limited. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Library, who are once again subsidizing our subscriptions to Live Homework Help and Ask a Librarian, as well as our passes for the Nassau County Museum of Art and the Cradle of Aviation Museum.
