Defensive Driving Classes

 

AARP Defensive Driving

Monday, February 6
10:00 am - 6:00 pm

In-person registration only. Open to all drivers with a valid NYS driver’s license. Fee is $17.00 for AARP members (must show AARP membership card at time of registration) and $19.00 for non-members. One check or money order (no cash) per person, payable to AARP. Registration begins January 6 for OB-EN residents and on January 23 for non-residents, space permitting.

 


Beginner Yoga

Saturdays, January 7, 14, 21, 28, February 4 & 11
10:20 - 11:20 am
OR 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Please bring a yoga mat or towel with you to class. Fee is $25 for the 5 classes, no refunds for missed classes. Registration began December 7 for OB-EN residents and begins December 23 for non-residents, space permitting.


Men & Women of the Underground Railroad on L.I.

Tuesday, February 7
7:00 pm

Professor Kathleen Velsor of SUNY Old Westbury brings an informative presentation about the work of local Quakers in the anti-slavery movement here on Long Island. Family homes and secret passages are explored as well as the stories of how the earliest settlers helped freedom seekers to safety. Registration begins January 7 for OB-EN residents, and on January 24 for non-residents, space permitting.


“I Love You” Chocolate Candy Bar

Monday, February 13
7:00 pm

Design an “I Love You” candy bar using squeeze bottles filled with bright colored chocolate and then fill it with more delicious milk chocolate. Makes a great gift for someone special. Registration begins January 13 for OB-EN residents and on January 30 for non-residents, space permitting.


Long Island Love Stories from Beyond

Wednesday, February 15
7:00 pm

Welcome back Joseph Flammer and Diane Hill, the Paranormal Adventurers, for a heartwarming multimedia presentation that centers on true stories of lost loved ones. How do our deceased loved ones contact us to let us know they are all right where they have gone? Are coincidences and unlikely events actually messages from the other side?
