APPROVED PLAINVIEW-OLD BETHPAGE PUBLIC LIBRARY MINUTES OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES CALL TO ORDER: Chairperson Joseph Eisner called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM in Meeting Rooms C and D of the Library. Present were Trustees, Marilyn Leibowitz, Stefanie Nelkens and Michael Polansky, Library Director Gretchen Browne, and Recording Secretary Ruth Guarnera. Trustee Elaine Gross was absent with prior notice.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: None BUDGET: The Trustees examined the budget line by line, questioned the salary, adult circulation and reference book lines and made recommendations for other lines. The Trustees requested the budget reflect the difference between anticipated expenditures and proposed expenditures, feeling this will give a clearer understanding of the budget. OTHER BUSINESS: Mr. Polansky made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Leibowitz and approved by all Trustees that the Minutes include the following statement: At the Trustees’ request, Mrs. Browne has provided all pertinent documentation for Jaspan, Schlessinger & Hoffman, LLP. The Trustees have reviewed the documentation and are satisfied no member of Jaspan, Schlessinger & Hoffman, LLP has been found on library payroll or retirement records, or otherwise received any inappropriate compensation. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, Mrs. Leibowitz moved the meeting be adjourned. Mrs. Nelkens seconded and upon unanimous vote, the meeting ended at 8:15 PM.
