NOVELNY Databases is an electronic resource access project that enables libraries across New York State to give their
communities online access to the full text of hundreds of journals, newspapers and other references.

Access Science-- Access Science turns the world's leading science encyclopedia, The McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology, into an updated database that delivers the high-quality information.

Books in Print-- In addition to books that are currently in print, the electronic edition includes information on forthcoming and out of print titles, books on tape, videos, as well as full text reviews.

CollegeSource-- This database features over 22,428 College Catalogs in complete cover-to-cover, original page format representing 2-year, 4-year, graduate, professional and international schools.

Credo Reference NEW! -- This database provides information from hundreds of reference books on a broad range of topics. Using cross-reference technology, information can be found with just one click.

Country Watch-- Access background and current events information for the countries of the world.

Ebsco A to Z NEW! --  This master database helps users locate more than 99,000 unique titles from many different database providers.  Search by title, subject, or keyword.   

Ebscohost -- Search EBSCOhost for information on business, health, current events, arts, science and entertainment from magazines and newspapers.  

Gale Databases -- Access to magazine and newspaper articles from Infotrac, National Newspaper Index, Opposing Viewpoints, General Business File ASAP, Business and Company Resource Center, and What Do I Read Next. Gale's Literature Resource Center including Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Literary Criticism, and the Dictionary of Literary Biography are also available.

Grove Music -- Universally acknowledged as the unsurpassed authority on all aspects of music.

Infotrac Health Reference Center -- Use this database to find articles on various medical issues. This database requires a password, not your library barcode, to access it. Please call the Reference Desk at 221-1334 for database  password.

LitFinder -- Use this literature database for researching poems, stories, essays, speeches, and plays.

Newsday & New York Times -- This database covers Newsday full text from 1985 to the present and The New York Times from 1851 to the present. To search the newpapers individually click on the "select multiple databases" hyperlink underneath the basic search box.

Novelist-- This "readers' advisor" resource helps readers discover fiction books based on books they've read or topics in which they are interested.

Novelist K-8-- Children and parents can use this database to find fiction books by favorite author, series, setting or type of story (mystery, science fiction, etc.).

Points of View Reference Center NEW! -- A full-text database designed to provide students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue.

ReferenceUSA--Access information on thousands of public and private U.S. companies. Great for obtaining telephone numbers and contact information.

World Book Online Reference Center -- The premier online reference source containing every article from the print set plus thousands more. This database also includes state-of-the-art multimedia, maps, editor-reviewed web sites, and more. Please enter the first five digits of your library card barcode for both the login and password.

NOVEL NY DATABASES: Provided by the New York State Library, NOVEL NY connects New Yorkers to 21st century information. NOVEL NY is supported with temporary federal Library Services and Technology Act funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The New York Knowledge Initiative is a proposal for permanent state funding for NOVEL NY .
