Babysitting Registry
Babysitting
Registry:
As
a service to Community Parents and the Teens who have completed the Syosset
Public Library sponsored Babysitting Workshop, the library maintains a
Babysitting Registry at the Reference Desk. Parents who need teenage
babysitters can complete a Babysitter Request Form outlining their needs,
including the number and ages of their children and when they need babysitters
(weekends, evenings, after school, etc.). Additionally, they can
indicate any requirements of prospective babysitters. Teenagers who
have completed a babysitting workshop can look through the Registry (with
parental permission) to find possible matches. So, if you need a
babysitter or need a babysitting job, stop by the Reference Desk.
Babysitting Workshop:
Look here periodically for information concerning future Babysitting Workshops.
Babysitting
Job Fair:
The
Babysitting Job Fair is typically held on the third or fourth Sunday in
March. The Job Fair provides the opportunity for parents needing babysitters
to meet teens who have completed a Babysitting Workshop. It allows
parents to talk to prospective babysitters and learn about their experience.
Parents need not register in advance. They can just drop in and bring
their children. It also allows the children to bond with a prospective
babysitter.
