TEEN ADVISORY BOARD. Thursdays, September 24, October 22 and Monday, November 30. 7-8:00 PM. In TeenSpace. No registration required. Free. Refreshments.
TEEN YOGA. Cindy Valentine is back for a series of 4 sessions of yoga for teens. Bring your own yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes. Mondays, October 5, 12, 19 and 26. From 7-8:00 PM. In person registration begins September 8 for SSD residents; September 14 for non-residents. Fee: $30 for the 4 sessions. Make checks payable to Syosset Public Library.
GENEALOGY AND YOUR COMPUTER – CREATING A FAMILY TREE. Sun., Oct. 4. 12:30 PM. Barry Howard demonstrates the fun and value of using your computer for creating and maintaining a family tree. Bring along your grandparents or other family members to learn how to share family memories together. Registration begins September 14 for SSD residents; September 21 for non-residents. Free.

* THANKSGIVING CRAFT WITH KIDS - Help a child, Kindergarten through 2nd grade, create a fun fall craft. Monday, November 23. 7 – 8:00 PM.
GHOSTS AND LEGENDS OF LONG ISLAND presented by the Long Island Society for Paranormal Research. Come to hear what the stories are behind some of the most famous haunted locations on Long Island! Thursday, October 29. 7-8:30 PM in the theatre. Registration begins September 28 for SSD residents; October 5 for non-residents. Free.
WRITING WORKSHOP with Lisa Greenwald, author of My Life in Pink & Green. Aspiring writers: Lisa will guide you through a writing exercise and discuss the path to getting published. Monday, November 9. 7-8:00 PM. Registration begins October 12 for SSD residents; October 19 for non-residents. Free. Refreshments provided. Books are available at the Circulation Desk one month prior to the program.
BABYSITTING WORKSHOP with JoAnn Tanck & Georgette Basso. Monday, November 16. 6:00-8:00 PM. Bring a doll or stuffed animal to practice the art of diapering. Registration for SSD residents begins Monday, October 19; October 26 for non-residents. Free. Refreshments provided.
