Summer Reading Club

This club is for those children, Grades 2-6,
who can read on their own.

There are five different R-E-A-D-O Boards for you to complete. East week, beginning July 5, 2005, a different R-E-A-D-O Board will be available. Complete ONE row on the board, vertically, diagonally, or horizontally. Each week's board is a DIFFERENT COLOR . For each board completed (up to 5 boards), you will receive a prize.

If you complete five boards by Monday, August 15, 2005 , a Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to you. You will be eligible to receive a ticket to the End-of-the-Summer Celebration, on a first come first serve basis, and your name will be sent to your school principal as having completed the program.

Blue ArrowThursday, July 7, 2005 - 7:00 p.m.
Pajama Storytime - Children, Ages 4-7
Evening story time filled with bedtime fun. Stories, songs, finger plays, and a game. Registration required, with first preference given to Valley Stream library cardholders who are Summer Reading Club members.

Older Story Craft - Children, Grades 4-6
Craft programs include a story and a fabulous craft. Registration required, with first preference given to Valley Stream library cardholders who are Summer Reading Club members.

Picnic Story Time - Children, Ages 4-7
Special lunchtime story time. You provide your child with lunch, a drink, and a blanket to sit on, and we'll provide the dessert. Stories, finger plays, and fun! Registration required, with first preference given to Valley Stream library cardholders who are Summer Reading Club members.
