This reading club is for children, Ages 3-6, who are not yet reading on their own.

Read to your child every day and keep a log of the books read. Starting with the week of July 5, 2005, stop in the library once a week ; the staff will check your Reading Record. Your child will place a sticker on his/her picture and will receive a prize.

All children who complete the club by Monday August 15, 2005 , will receive a special prize, will be eligible to receive a ticket to the End-of-the-Summer Celebration, on a first come first serve basis, and will receive a Certificate of Achievement. If your child is in school, his/her name will be sent to their school principal as having completed the program.

Stories, crafts, and lots of fun. Registration required, with first preference given to Valley Stream library cardholders who are Summer Reading Club members.

Pajama Storytime - Children, Ages 4-7
Evening story time filled with bedtime fun. Stories, songs, finger plays, and a game. Registration required, with first preference given to Valley Stream library cardholders who are Summer Reading Club members.

Mother Goose Story Time - Children, Ages 2-3

Tiny Tots Story Time - Children, Ages 1-2
Special story time for toddlers and their caregiver. Lots of songs, stories, and finger plays. Registration required, with first preference given to Valley Stream library cardholders who are Summer Reading Club members.
