For students going into Grades 7-12.
Teens will participate in craft activities, game nights, etc., while reading five books during the summer.

Get a Clue @ The Library

I seemed to be out of the loop,
Perhaps, a little bit lost.
I couldn't get a basketball in a hoop,
Nor snowboard through the frost.

My reading skills were rusty,
And gaming skills I had none.
My books were getting musty,
And seldom did I have any REAL fun.

Everything was looking pretty glum and down.
Things weren't so great for me,
Until when cruising through my little town,
I found the local library.

I picked out a book on basketball,
And a magazine on snowboarding fun.
My reading skills turned out not to be that bad at all
And through the pages my eyes did run.

Within ten minutes, I felt great!
I was beginning to understand.
I began to jump and celebrate
Because of what I'd learned from the books I held in my hand.

From that day on, I was bound
To the local library.
It was the best place I'd ever found,
And it truly did wonders for me.

Never again was I the one
To whom people would say,
"Get a clue. You're no fun!"
Or "Keep up with what's going on today!"

Whenever I had a puzzlement,
You can guess where I would go.
The library, I thought was definitely meant
To give me the answers the books would know.

Thing went on like this for a year or two,
Until I became a whole new me.
And if you want this to happen to you,
"Get a Clue @ The LIBRARY!"
