NEW ADULT LIBRARIAN TRAINEE HAS JOINED THE STAFF - Anna Shifton joined the staff of the library as the new Adult Librarian Trainee in July 2004 . She is currently enrolled in the Masters of Library Science program at Queens College.

BOOKS ON CD COLLECTION NOW AVAILABLE - As new cars now have CD players, many patrons have requested Books on CD in addition to Books on Cassette. Henry Waldinger Memorial Library cardholders can now borrow Books on CDs from the library for a 14 day loan period.

7TH ANNUAL CHILDREN'S LEGO EXHIBIT -The library held its 7th Annual Children's Lego Exhibit in January 2004. Children of all ages exhibited their Lego creations for all to see. All the children received a Certificate of Achievement for their participation. Check out the Lego Photo Gallery for this year's exhibit.

ANNUAL CHILDREN'S SIDEWALK CHALK SHOW - The library held its Annual Children's Sidewalk Chalk Show on Saturday, April , 2004. Children of all ages drew chalk pictures on the sidewalk outside the library. All the children received a Certificate of Achievement and Honorable Mention Ribbons for their participation. Mayor Edward Cahill, Village Trustees Joanne Antun, Guido Cirenza, and Ed Fare, and Town Councilman James Darcy were present to honor the young artists.
