LIBRARY OPEN HOUSE -The Board of Trustees and the Staff of the Henry Waldinger Memorial Library held an Open House on Saturday, January 21, 2006, from 1:00-3:00 p.m., to celebrate the completion of the interior library renovation done in 2005. Magician Terry Parrett entertained children with magic shows and balloon animals, and Children's Librarian Suzanne Dlugolonski held special storytimes. Two Valley Stream authors - Patricia Gordon and Angela Schulz - were available to speak to patrons about their writing, and the Valley Stream Book Club recruited members. The library also offered "Almost New" Books for sale at approximately 90% off.
