OPEN HOUSE - The Library Board and Staff of the Henry Waldinger Memorial Library held an Open House for the community on Saturday, January 26, 2008, from 1-3 p.m. This special event featured magic shows by Terry Parrett, face painting by Andrea Colletti, story times by Children's Librarian Jaclyn Kunz, and winter crafts for the children. In the Adult Room, there was a book sale of "almost brand new" books and representatives from the Valley Stream Book Club. Two local authors - Patricia Gordon (Destined) and Thomas McShane (Stolen Masterpiece Tracker) - spoke to patrons about their books.
