The Henry Waldinger Memorial Library subscribes to several online resources that can help with general research or homework assignments. In some cases, you will be asked to enter your library card barcode number which is located on the reverse side of your library card. In other cases, you will be asked to enter a password, which may be obtained at the Adult Reference Desk upon presentation of your library card. In addition, specific online and internet resources can be accessed by topic as listed to the left.

InfoTrac OneFile  (1980 -        ) : A one-stop source for news and periodical articles on a wide range of topics: business, computers, current events, economics, education, environmental issues, health care, hobbies, humanities, law, literature and art, politics, science, social science, sports, technology, and many general interest topics. Millions of full-text articles, many with images. Updated daily.

Infotrac General Reference Center Gold is a general interest database that integrates a variety of sources in one easy-to-use interface. Use General Reference Center Gold to find articles from newspapers, reference books, and periodicals, many with full-text and images. Find the latest current events, popular culture, business and industry coverage, the arts and sciences, sports, hobbies, and more. The Infotrac's Health Resource Center is a database of articles on health topics such as fitness, pregnancy, medicine, nutrition, diseases, public health, HMOs, prescription drugs, etc.  It is being offered to patrons through NOVEL, the New York State Statewide Database Project.

EBSCOhost Espanol provides access to the EBSCO databases in Spanish.
NOTE:

Informe!  is the first electronic database in Spanish, specifically designed to meet the research needs of Spanish-speaking users, with full-text articles from the most popular Spanish-language and bilingual periodicals. This database is from the Gale Group and is being offered to patrons through NOVEL, the New York State Statewide Database Project.

The Librarians' Index to the Internet is a subject directory of more than 7,200 Internet resources selected and evaluated by librarians for library users.  Top sites are listed under "Best of ..." for each subject.
netLibrary  is the most comprehensive collection of online books (eBooks) and resource materials available.  It gives access to a wide range of scholarly and reference materials, and you can search every word in the entire collection and within particular eBooks.

refdesk.com advertises itself as "the single best source for facts on the Net."  It was named the  "Best Reference Site for 2001" by Yahoo! Internet Life Magazine. refdesk.com indexes quality Internet sites and helps users navigate these sites.
