The Henry Waldinger Memorial Library subscribes to several online resources that can help with general research or homework assignments. In some cases, you will be asked to enter your library card barcode number which is located on the reverse side of your library card. In other cases, you will be asked to enter a password, which may be obtained at the Adult Reference Desk upon presentation of your library card.

Encyclopaedia Britannica Online Public Library Edition contains the full text of Encyclopaedia Britannica, with more than 72,000 articles and more than 1 million internal hypertext links. This is an advertising free site and links to more than 130,000 Britannica-approved Internet sites. The database is updated on a regular weekly editorial schedule.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia provides over 25,000 encyclopedia entries covering a variety of subject areas.

| Statistical Abstract of the U.S. is one of the best sources of U.S. statistics on a broad range of subjects such as population, education, income, and labor force. Some of the selected features include state rankings, state profiles, etc. |
| U.S. Dept. of State Background Notes include facts about the land, people, history, government, political conditions, economy, and foreign relations of independent states, some dependencies, and areas of special sovereignty . The Notes are updated/revised by the Office of Electronic Information and Publications of the Bureau of Public Affairs as they are received from the Department's regional bureaus and are added to the database of the Department of State website. There are also links to different country pages for additional information. |
